+++FITNESS SUITE RE-OPENING+++

We can now confirm that we are re-opening the Fitness Suite at Melbourn Sports Centre from Monday 27th July. However, this will initially be at reduced hours to ensure that we can maintain the extra cleanliness and sanitisation schedules required to keep the centre - and you! - safe.

Please see our separate post for the weekly timetable for week commencing Monday 27th July 2020.

Please also note that we have safety procedures in place to protect all our customers and staff against the spread of COVID-19. Please read our full Facility Users safety procedures document on this website to familiarise yourself with the new measures in place at the centre.

Signage, social distancing marking and measures will be on display at the centre as well, and staff there to help!

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Following on from today's government announcement, we are delighted that we will soon be able to open our doors once again.

We'll be taking a few days to digest the information and learn all we need to do to make sure the facility is safe and protected against the spread of COVID-19, in line with all government guidelines that will shortly be released.

We thank you for all your kind comments and support, and look forward to welcoming you back soon; in the words of the Culture Secretary, "Work Out To Help Out"!

Re-opening dates will be confirmed as soon as we can.

Take care and stay safe,

The MSC Team

Please note that as from tomorrow, 1st April 2020, all Melbourn Sports Centre staff members will be on furlough until the centre can re-open. This means that we can no longer answer any telephone or email queries, or deal with any similar business queries or contractual work until further notice.

However, for any emergencies, our directors at Be Active are allowed to respond, so in this case, please send us an email and this will be forwarded on to them so that they can reply asap.

You can also follow us on Facebook (melbournsports) where they will continue to post whenever possible, and keep the community updated.

As soon as we can, we will be back in touch with everyone, which we hope is sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, stay safe, healthy and active as much as you can, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

This is to confirm that we have now finished our lesson re-enrolment process. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to contact you all personally due to staff shortage, but we have now confirmed to the parents of all children moving group, days or times what those projected lesson details will hopefully be. If you haven’t had a call from us, this is because your child is remaining on the same lesson time and schedule as last term.

As you can imagine, the process has been a very difficult one, but we have done our best to allocate pupils whom we felt were required or ready to move into new groups (based on teacher recommendations and the assessments that we could undertake). We have also tried our best, as always, to allocate spaces in line with parents’ lesson preference forms.

Please note - payment will not be required at this stage. We will be back in touch to confirm and take payment as appropriate.

We hope it will not be too much longer before we can get your children (and the adults!) swimming again. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. We’re all in this together, and we look forward to welcoming you back through our doors.

With all our best wishes,

The Melbourn Sports Centre Team
